An excellent piece of software, essential tool for anyone typing in sinhala. To us used to typing in english and never ever head of the wijesekara keyboard, this is a boon, to be able to type(transliterate) sinhala in any program as we want.
The interface is kept simple and i think it does just what we want. keep it up Madura

This the ONLY transliteration software I found that worked. All others are crap. This does it’s job well. The smart language switch and the intelligent transfer mode is great.

I would say “Keep up the good work”, but you already did and completed the good work.

Have you tried Google Transliterate? It’s so easy to use! and no keys to remember. Just type ”singlish’ like you type sms in sinhala and it’s transliterated immediately.

    http://www.google.com/transliterate

Madura has done some great stuff but I think Google’s transliteration is much easier than this one. However, unfortunately the Sinhala version can only be used online. Downloadable version is not offered in Sinhala. Can Madura come to the rescue?

@Indu Google Transliterate’s database is coupled with an AI to make it fast and effective, it learns as you and others type and erase. Technically it uses a word based approach, rsinglish uses sinhala letter based approach. Rsinglish doesn’t have an AI engine, it’s core is made up with an algorithm that I managed to design in about 2 weeks and it got on to as near as it can to a ‘perfect’ language solution through months of polishing up the core algorithm.

My development days in Windows API days are officially over!(and I do try to get as far as I can from that mess) Google Transliterate for desktop makes heavy usage of the IME support that is offered by Windows(rsinglish doesn’t, it only uses the SendInput API). And my knowledge on Intelligent systems is yet to improve(I have no idea!). So I’m better off with replying, No.

if you type just a ගතකුර you’d get it with a හල්කිරිම like ‘k’=ක් if not mail me about the problem in detail
